We are two crazy girls leaving our men behind to take a wild FREE ride on an Alaskan cruise, July 23-30, 2008.
This blog is to chronicle our adventures for the reading pleasure of our family and friends.
Wednesday, July 23 Fly to Anchorage, Alaska. From Anchorage, we shuttle out to Whittier, Alaska and catch The Spirit. We set sail 9:00 PM
Thursday, July 24 We sail Prince William Sound It's a free day on the ship so we'll be soaking in the spa, eating, playing bingo, maybe turning a head or two taking dance lessons.
Friday, July 25 Arrive in Sitka, Alaska We will be taking a 3 hour Wildlife Quest, observing whales, brown bears, bald eagles on a ship built to navigate Alaska's narrow island passages.
Saturday, July 26 Arrive in Juneau, Alaska We'll be having a "Gold Creek Salmon Bake"! We'll take a hike to the Salmon Creek Waterfall where we'll see live salmon and then head to a party where we'll feast on them! It sounds so manly!
Sunday, July 27 Arrive in Skagway, Alaska We are taking a 40 minute helicopter ride over glaciers and will actually land on one so we can walk around! We are so scared!
Monday, July 28 Arrive in Ketchikan, Alaska This is an action packed day beginning with Bear Creek Ziplines followed by a floatplane ride exploring Alaska's vast fjords.
Tuesday, July 29 We sail the Inside Passage Another free day on the ship to explore!

I stand corrected, it looks freezing there, and the boots were an excellent idea. :)
